John, Doug Mastriano — the Republican candidate for Governor of Pennsylvania — was supposed to be questioned yesterday by the bipartisan U.S. House Committee investigating the January 6th insurrection.

But Mastriano didn’t answer a single question — and he walked out after just 15 minutes.

Mastriano was present at the Jan. 6, 2021 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol and walked past police barricades set up to keep the rioters at bay. Mastriano also spent thousands to bus in rioters who later stormed the Capitol. At least five of his supporters were even arrested that day. But now Mastriano is refusing to answer questions – what is he afraid of?

Mastriano was subpoenaed by the committee – and interviewed by the FBI – and now the January 6th Committee is showing the American public exactly how Trump and his allies (like Mastriano) actively tried to overturn our democracy.

But the worst part is that Mastriano could become the next Governor of Pennsylvania if we don’t come together to stop him. Races in this state are decided by a percentage point or less — just look at how close the margins were in 2020 and 2016.
