FBI agents searched Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate Monday as part of a federal investigation into whether he took classified records from the White House.

Though details of the raid have not been revealed, Republicans have claimed that the FBI's actions amounted to "an intolerable state of weaponized politicization" and "persecution." Some in the party have called for abolishing federal law enforcement.

Attorney General Merrick Garland, appointed as head of the Justice Department in 2021 by President Joe Biden, has only commented “No one is above the law.”

Galápagos Island Reintroduces Extinct Iguanas

A species of iguana that went extinct nearly 200 years ago was successfully reintroduced on Santiago Island in the Galápagos. The Galápagos land iguana is an engineered species created by a group of conservationists, who decided that the iguana plays a critical role in maintaining a healthy balance in an ecosystem. The group believed the return of the species would greatly benefit the rest of the habitat, which they found to be true.
