John, August is an incredibly important month. So are September, October and the first week of November. Every single day is important this time of year when we have midterm elections coming up.
This week, I’ll be working hard to pass the Inflation Reduction Act through Congress so we can secure historic action on climate change, empower Medicare to negotiate drug prices, lower health care premiums for millions with Affordable Care Act plans, and tax the rich. AND, on the campaign trail, I will continue my efforts to protect the Democratic majority in Congress and elect more people-first progressives.
Democrats have accomplished a lot in the last year and a half, and we have to add making the Inflation Reduction Act the law of the land to that list. We are using our majorities and control of the White House to deliver for the American people, John.
It’s going to be a busy next few weeks. And the 10 weeks after that will be even busier on the campaign trail. I know we can protect our majority in swing districts and expand support for Medicare for All and a Green New Deal in deep blue districts.
This is what the people want and this is what I will keep fighting for, now and through November 8 (and, yes, even after that). Can you chip in $20.22 or $3 to support my work? Every contribution helps fund my fight against corporate special interests, Big Pharma, and the GOP.
