Today, we’re sharing Mary Gay’s co-sponsored bills that were signed into law by the President!
First up is the VOCA Fix to Sustain the Crime Victims Fund Act, and Mary Gay is particularly proud of this bill. Signed into law just last month the VOCA (Victims of Crime Act) Fix secures funding for victims' services programs, including human trafficking, sexual assault, survivors of domestic violence, and child abuse. Funding for victim services across the country is often the first to be cut — Mary Gay would not stand for that. Now the VOCA Fix will prevent future cuts for this essential funding for survivors of crime.
Next — the 9/11 Memorial Route Trail. The trail runs through PA-05 and contains 1,300 miles connecting the three memorial sites of the 9/11 crashes, including the Flight 93 Memorial in PA. Not only is this trail going to spark economic energy in the region but it is also an important reminder and means to honor the collective loss and grief we share from the tragic assault on our nation.
As a representative, Mary Gay is committed to continuing her work no matter the political climate in or outside the halls of Congress. Will you chip in $25 to keep Mary Gay in Congress and working on critical legislation?
Thanks for reading — we’ll be back tomorrow with funding and resources Mary Gay has secured in PA-05!
