Team – The Jan. 6 committee hearings have revealed shocking details about Trump's role in the insurrection. Here are the top six takeaways:
1. Trump repeatedly pressured GOP state officials to overturn the results of the election – even though he knew there was absolutely no evidence of fraud.
2. Trump knew that there were armed rioters on Jan. 6, but he urged the Secret Service to remove metal detectors at his rally and even called on these armed insurrectionists to march to the Capitol.
3. Trump grew violent when his team refused to let him go to the Capitol with the rioters – and he even tried to grab the steering wheel away from his driver.
4. Trump chose not to act as rioters breached the Capitol, and refused to ask them to disperse – waiting over three hours to tweet that the mob should stay peaceful.
5. As Trump watched the violence unfold at the Capitol, he tweeted disparaging remarks about Pence, causing the Vice President’s Secret Service to fear for their lives during the attack.
6. In a series of outtakes from a taped address he delivered the day after the Jan. 6 attack, Trump refused to say the election was over – even after he saw the dangerous effects of his lies.
Now, the DOJ has launched MULTIPLE probes into Trump and his cronies. And the FBI has even raided Trump’s estate in Florida as a part of one investigation. It’s clear that we’re closer than ever to holding Trump accountable for his crimes, but with the GOP pushing dangerous lies, we need to hear from Americans like you!
