For the past decade, Western North Carolina has been represented in the House by right-wing extremists who are out of touch with our district’s values – and while we can’t change our past, we can choose a brighter future.

OUR PAST: Our former Republican Congressman Mark Meadows, who represented WNC for almost a decade, requested a pardon related to his involvement in the January 6 insurrection as President Trump’s then-Chief of Staff (he’s also being investigated for voter fraud).

OUR PRESENT: For the first time in a decade, WNC has fair maps. Our current Republican Congressman Madison Cawthorn has spent his time in Congress pushing extremism and behaving as if he was above the law, all while ignoring the needs of our communities in pursuit of fame. And as a result, he’s looking for a new job.

OUR FUTURE: Right now, Jasmine is facing off against Republican multi-millionaire Chuck Edwards, who shares the same toxic brand of politics as Meadows and Cawthorn, and is hiding from voters so that they don’t realize he is more of the same. Whoever wins this race will represent NC-11 for the next two years!

Our future is in your hands, friend: This battleground race is more than winnable, but it will take a massive grassroots movement to compete with Edwards’ personal fortune and the national Republican fundraising machine.
