Sometimes the work we do is more that we can bear. We mourn the loss of LGBTQ youth to suicide. We regret the tragic stories of bullying, discrimination, and violence. However, we take solace in the knowledge that our work is making schools safer for millions of LGBTQ youth thanks to your support. With your help, we’ve shown up for students:
We hosted 3,000+ students at youth summits—to build community while developing organizing and leadership skills;
We trained 10,000+ educators—to support LGBTQ students. Many of these teachers risk their jobs to serve as role models and confidants for queer youth;
We organized 1,000,000 students around days of action—creating renewed momentum to carry our mission and our message through 2019 and into 2020; and
We collected data for the 11th edition of our landmark National School Climate Survey—our flagship report on the experiences of LGBTQ youth in our nation’s schools.
