John,
The polls are closed in Wisconsin, and I am honored to be the Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate. This wouldn't have been possible without people like you. Thank you.
Let me be very blunt:
This is going to be a very tough race, and defeating Ron Johnson won't be easy.
He has been courting his special-interest donors and corporate PAC contributors since he announced his re-election at the beginning of this year, so he has a fundraising advantage right now. Plus we will be up against huge amounts of outside spending from right-wing super PACs.
So today, I am relying on a very large number of donations to help fund this campaign for the general election. It would mean a lot if you could add your donation today.
Please split a $25 contribution between my campaign for U.S. Senate in Wisconsin and CommonGood. I really need your support if we're going to defeat Ron Johnson and defend the Senate majority. [[link removed]]

Back in 2018, we beat Scott Walker in Wisconsin with the highest midterm turnout on record – by bringing everyone together from every corner of the state. And that’s exactly how we are going to take the fight to Ron Johnson and win.
Since he's been in office, Ron Johnson has doubled his wealth as a result of the tax breaks that he fought for during Trump’s administration. And he even went so far as to complain that his wealth has only doubled – not quadrupled – during his time in Washington.
Ron Johnson is an out-of-touch millionaire who got elected only to serve himself.
I am running for U.S. Senate to rebuild the middle class and deliver opportunity for everyone. If elected, I’ll be the deciding vote to abolish the filibuster and defend abortion rights, address the climate crisis, and protect voting rights.
But whether or not I get that chance is up to people like you.
Like I said, this is going to be a very tough and competitive race. It will be one of the most closely-watched races in the entire country between now and November.
It takes a significant amount of resources to run a successful U.S. Senate campaign in a state as competitive as Wisconsin. If we're going to have what it takes to flip this seat, I'm going to need people like you to contribute what you can today.
So I am asking you again:
Can you please split a $25 contribution to my campaign for U.S. Senate in Wisconsin? We'll put your contribution immediately to work to flip this seat and defend the Democratic Senate majority. [[link removed]]
I've said from the start that this will be a people-powered campaign. And it has been very humbling to see all the people who are coming together to help send Ron Johnson packing.
Thank you so much for your support. As long as we are in this together, we are going to win.
All my best,
Mandela Barnes
