Biden Ends Successful Remain in Mexico Policy

Dear Texans,

This week, the Biden Administration ended Trump's successful "Remain in Mexico" policy that required illegal migrants to stay in Mexico as they await their court date. This was an effective tool to deter illegal migration and prevent migrants from escaping into the U.S. 

I introduced legislation to make this policy PERMANENT and respond to the disaster President Biden's policies created. In the midst of a historic border crisis, we should be enforcing all immigration measures available not weakening them. At every step, President Biden’s open-border agenda has made our southern border more susceptible to crime, human traffickers, and the drug cartels. We MUST do more to keep our communities safe and protect our sovereignty.
