Nothing more can happen now. We will carry on.

I want to take this opportunity to thank you now for being with us every step of the way. Not just in this campaign, but over the last three years.

In this election we reached over 25 million people with our GetVoting campaign. And over 3.5 million of that was just this morning!

Tactical voting has been the antidote to our unfair voting system. It’s been our way to make up for progressive, pro-European parties failing to work together. Voters like you and I might yet force the progressive parties to co-operate by filling parliament with pro-European MPs.

Our “gold standard” MRP polling still suggested Boris Johnson would likely win a majority right up until this week. So thanks to people like you, we have reached many times more people than we need to stop the Tories winning.

The fight goes on for an open, progressive society. Will you help?

But running this election campaign, running the biggest tactical voting campaign and getting tens of thousands registered to vote has taken up over £500,000 of our funds.

And when we wake up tomorrow we will be 51 days away from Brexit.

That’s why I want to make a commitment to you tonight, that Best for Britain is ready to get back out and will continue to campaign hard, from tomorrow morning.

We know you haven’t given up, and neither have we.

But if we are to do this, to stop Brexit, I will need your help.

We need to raise £100,000 before Christmas if we are to have any hope of limiting the worst of Boris Johnson's plans for our country. We have staff, activists and a campaign plan ready to be rolled out - we just need your help to fund it.
