Sysco earned $509.99 million in its fiscal fourth quarter, more than three times the $151.09 million it earned in the same period last year, on revenue of $18.96 billion, up from $16.14 billion. The foodservice distributor reported quarterly growth in its international and US foodservice segments.
Wajax reported second-quarter profit of $511 million, up from $446 million a year ago, on revenue of almost $22 million, up from $18 million. Equipment sales accounted for $172 million of the distributor's revenue, while $134 million came from industrial parts sales, and $122 million came from product support sales.
DXP Enterprises reported second-quarter sales of $367.8 million, up from $285.7 million a year ago, with $21.3 million coming from acquisitions. The distributor had quarterly profit of $14.1 million, up from $8.1 million in the year-ago period.
