We’ve come far, but we still have so far to go.

Your donation will double, and so will your impact.
It’s our 82nd anniversary and we’re thrilled to be celebrating with you. Let’s reflect on some of what the American Diabetes Association® has accomplished in the last year:

Research
In June, we welcomed over 11,000 diabetes professionals from 97 countries to the 82nd Scientific Sessions. Even though the meeting was a mix of in-person and virtual, many came to engage in the science and present groundbreaking research in person in New Orleans. Of note, many sessions focused on social determinants of health to shed light on health inequities across certain groups of people, allowing us to better treat and serve them.

Advocacy

Over the last year, the ADA provided resources and information to thousands of individuals experiencing discrimination at school and in the workplace. The ADA’s legislative wins improved the lives of millions of Americans living with or at risk for diabetes, driving state legislation resulting in caps on out-of-pocket costs for life-sustaining insulin in 22 states and the District of Columbia and influencing changes to Medicare that make access to medical technology and telehealth easier for people with diabetes in your community.

Programs

One of our oldest programs, ADA Camps, are back in person this year! We look forward to hosting more than 6,000 campers to come together and share a week of summer fun—making memories that last a lifetime. Campers will socialize with other kids their age who were going through the same experience as them while learning to manage their diabetes independently, stay active, and eat healthily.

You made all this possible, and we rely on you to keep this train rolling. Right now, when you make a tax-deductible donation to the ADA, the value of your donation will DOUBLE.
Continue to Innovate
P.S. Our match campaign will last until the end of August or once we reach our campaign total of $82,000, in honor of 82 years dedicated to fighting diabetes.

If you are struggling to pay for insulin or know someone who is, the ADA has resources to help. Visit InsulinHelp.org.
