Our campaign to be your next Lieutenant Governor is going well. We continue to meet plenty of wonderful folks all across North Carolina who respond well to our message of opportunity and the American Dream.
I'm writing y'all personally this week as I wanted to address an issue that is close to my heart: our Veterans and their families. In the last few weeks, the media all across the state reported on the failure of the Cooper administration to make good on paying out scholarship money to the children of our nation's heroes.
I've complied my thoughts and expressed them in a blog, which you can read by clicking here. The bottom line is that leaders lead, they don't pass the buck or shift the blame. Roy Cooper isn't leading and as a result our military families are suffering.
As your Lieutenant Governor, I will always lead with integrity and never allow our Veterans or their families to be used as political pawns.
