We're living through another one of of the [hottest summers ever]([link removed]), and it's only getting [worse]([link removed]). The climate is breaking down around us as you read this email. Climate action has to escalate in tandem.
The internet has roundly denounced SUV tire deflating, saying it'll never work, it won't make a difference, that there's other, bigger targets to hit (but no-one ever does).
Despite the hate, tire-deflating has taken off in the UK and Europe. And now it's spread to New York, Scranton, Chicago, the Bay Area, Kitchener, Victoria and beyond.
The future belongs to the doers.
So let’s take it to the next level. This #FuckItAllFriday, join the [Tyre Extinguishers]([link removed]) by jammimg a lentil or a bit of gravel in the valves of SUV tires in posh neighborhoods. Avoid working vehicles and those with disabled stickers, and make sure to leaflet their windshields to let them know why you did it. Then let local media know too.
The beauty of #pfffff is its simplicity. Anyone can do it, it's non-violent, it has an outsized effect. All you need to do is muster up your courage.
