Dear Fellow Patriot, When I announced that I was running for Congress last year, my main goal was to make sure Jaime Herrera Beutler would no longer represent Southwest Washington in the next Congress. I knew we needed a change. I was not alone in this. When all the votes are counted, more than 85,000 across our district took a stand and voted to make sure Jaime is no longer our Representative. More than 35,000 will have voted for our campaign. We had an excellent primary turnout and our message came through loud and clear: We will no longer sit on the sidelines. To that, I say, “Well done!” As the results of last Tuesday’s election continue to come in, I want to say “thank you” from the bottom of my heart. This is how campaigns are supposed to run: Ordinary citizens linking arms to stand for freedom. And stand we did! Your prayers, financial support and grassroots efforts enabled my campaign to raise nearly $1.3 million and light a fire for freedom across our great state. I am especially grateful to the hundreds of volunteers who waved signs, stuffed envelopes, made calls, walked door-to-door, and prayed for the success of my campaign for the last 18 months. To the more than 5,000 individuals from all 50 states who financially supported my campaign, I am truly humbled by your generosity and encouragement. On primary night more than 300 people gathered with me. Over 75% of those in attendance raised their hand when asked if this was the first time they had ever been involved in a political campaign. That’s exciting! Let’s keep it up. If we're to restore our country to the representative Republic that our founding fathers intended, these "first timers" must remain engaged. You are the reason I ran for Congress. It wasn’t enough for me to tell you to “get off the bench” and make a difference . . . I needed to put my words in action and demonstrate how it’s done. An ordinary citizen running for Congress. That’s honestly who we are and that’s exactly what we did. We left it all on the field for freedom. My message of limited government, lower taxes, less regulations, protections for our children, an end to “wokeness” and a return to the Constitution resonated with tens of thousands of voters, who honored me with their vote on August 2nd. In the end, it was not enough to secure a place in the top two—and now, we must focus our energy where it can do the most good. The Democrats have declared war on our Constitutional Republic. With Socialist Democrats driving our country over the cliff, I look forward to their historic losses in November. When Republicans take over the Congress in 2023, they cannot govern like they did when Paul Ryan was Speaker in 2017 and 2018. Anything short of a systematic dismantling of the bureaucratic state will be considered a failure and unacceptable. We must remove Pelosi from the speakership which can only be done if we have a Republican majority in Congress. I urge you to vote this November for the Republican nominee. We now have the same binary choice we had between Clinton and Trump in 2016. The Democrats, showing they care nothing for freedom, have put forth a Marxist in Marie Perez. She must not be allowed to take this seat. It’s true that Joe Kent and I have some real differences on issues, but these differences are nowhere near the differences between Joe Kent and Marie Perez. These differences are not worth hurting our cause to make a point. Consider what’s at stake: Besides being a solid vote for Nancy Pelosi’s America-killing agenda, Perez would lock in decades of woke social policy, failed green energy schemes, open borders, welfare and amnesty for all, higher taxes on working families and more regulations on job creators. Marie Perez is pro-abortion up to and including the moment of birth, wants to ban most firearms and have a government database of all the rest. There is little doubt that she would champion her party’s ideas for graphic sex lessons to six-year-olds in every school in America. It's time for Republicans to unite and defeat both Patty Murray and Marie Perez with a straight ticket Republican vote from top-to-bottom. It's time to take our country back. We need to set our differences aside and stand together as conservatives to save America and stop Biden's dangerous radical-left Socialist agenda, before it's too late. To supporters who've inquired about my "next steps," I am looking forward to serving over 1,700 students this year at our Firmly Planted Family Homeschool Resource Center in Vancouver. I also look forward to resuming my public speaking at conferences around the country – something I love doing. My organization, MomStrong International, will continue to serve mothers and remind them of the value of motherhood. We need this now more than ever. Of course, I’ll keep podcasting. Don’t miss it! Finally, nothing can dampen my resolve to do what is right for this area. I have always wanted what was best for SW Washington and I will continue to be a voice for freedom in the days and months to come. Now is the time to stand together. Only by uniting will we defeat the Democrats and take our nation back from the brink of a leftist takeover. My husband Jay and I, along with our children and grandchildren are praying for God’s blessing and protection over our struggling nation. I hope you will join me and support the Republican vision for America and vote accordingly in November. God bless you—and God bless the United States!
