John, it’s official:
WFP champion Mandela Barnes has declared victory in the Wisconsin Senate primary. Now, he’ll face Republican Ron Johnson in just three months.
Ron Johnson is one of the most vulnerable Senators up for reelection. Even before today, Republicans launched attack ads against Mandela because they’re that worried he will flip this battleground seat.
Now that he’s officially on the ballot for November, they’re going to do everything they can to tear him down. But our grassroots movement is ready.
Working Families Party organizers in Wisconsin have been busy laying the groundwork to support Mandela Barnes, and we have big plans to mobilize voters from now until Election Day. Will you chip in $6 to power our get-out-the-vote program and help Mandela flip this critical seat?

John, there’s a lot on the line in this race. With a working families champion like Mandela in the Senate, we’ll be that much closer to ending the filibuster, codifying abortion rights into law, and moving our people’s agenda through Congress.
Ron Johnson’s Republican and corporate donors will stop at nothing to keep him in the Senate to block our progressive goals at every turn. He’s had their back each step of the way: delivering tax breaks for billionaires (and himself!) and threatening cuts to Social Security and Medicare.
Meanwhile, Mandela has plans to fight climate change, support federal legislation that will create good jobs, and expand access to high-quality, affordable childcare.
These are the kinds of plans voters need to hear about, but we need a surge in grassroots support to ramp up our voter outreach plans and combat the attacks against Mandela. Can you chip in $6 to help us defeat Ron Johnson and send Mandela Barnes to the Senate?
