Schools and education are the backbone of our country. Throughout my years in Congress, I have worked hard to improve Ohio schools. Because I know our students are the future of this nation, and all students deserve access to quality education.

But J.R. Majewski doesn’t believe in equal education opportunities. In fact, he believes the public school system is failing our students and that the federal government’s role should be eliminated from our schools entirely.

He even thinks the U.S. Department of Education should be disbanded – draining a critical source of funding from the classroom.

We can't let this happen. We can't let down the children of Ohio.

This is why it’s so important to keep Ohio’s 9th blue. The families of Ohio have been – and always will be – my top priority, and that means so is funding our public schools.

With the school year just about to get underway, let’s remember the importance of our educators and our students and work hard to keep them a priority.
