I'm just getting up to speed, but I can tell you, with how close we are to Election Day, the most important thing our finance team needs right now is more predictable weekly revenue.
As deputy finance director, it's my job to pay attention to the numbers. Part of that means going line by line through Christy's campaign budget to check what money is coming in, what bills we need to pay, and what expenses we have coming up.
I love this work, but the hardest part about my job is not knowing exactly how much money we're going to make each week. We are so close to the election that we plan out our budgets weekly now, not monthly. Ebbs and flows make it really tough to plan ahead and make strategic campaign decisions.
