Hi friend. This summer has been off the charts hot. Cities across the country are experiencing their hottest summers
ever. And unfortunately, we know it’s likely going to get worse before our climate actions turn down the heat.
Please let me know: has extreme heat affected you or your family this summer?
Climate change is contributing to rising temperatures across the globe, and we need to act fast to mitigate the worsening effects, especially on low-income and communities of color who disproportionately bear the worst impacts of the climate crisis.
But, just last Sunday following years of our organizing and fighting, the Senate voted to pass $369 billion in climate, jobs and justice investments in the Inflation Reduction Act, which will have monumental impacts in this fight and is a giant leap forward.
We will fight implementation of any potentially harmful provisions contained in it and keep pushing for federal and state actions to further reduce pollution. And, we are are pushing for House passage scheduled for
this Friday.
Change is on the horizon!
Thanks,
