Dear John,
Farming is the backbone of our district and our country. I will always celebrate the American farmer, their work ethic, and the quality products they bring into our homes.
However, it’s hard for the American farmer to celebrate these days, as they’re facing more challenges than ever. From trade and market access, rising input costs, and supply chain issues, to concerns over rural broadband and aging transportation infrastructure, today’s farmers need an advocate in Washington who will address their concerns and work to make their jobs easier.
That's why I am reaching out today to build my agriculture coalition; comprised of farmers, agribusiness leaders, and industry experts. ([link removed]) I need a strong coalition behind me who will stand up against the record high inflation under the Biden Administration (that Nikki Budzinski was a part of until just a year ago).
Their disastrous administration is taking our country back on a freight train in the wrong direction. Today’s inflation numbers hit a historic 41-year record high. Illinois farmers remember 41 years ago - the beginning of the worst farm economy since the Great Depression. Illinois farmers know Nikki is bad for business.
