Hi John,
Sure, you help elect diverse young progressives by supporting Run for Something. But what if you could
really target your investment? We've set up donation pages where you can split a donation
directly to our amazing diverse young progressives and secure lasting political power
one local race at a time.
Here's a round-up of some of our rising stars for you to check out and toss
$5
(or more) to support them directly:
Zooey Zephyr is a progressive, bisexual trans woman who has spent her personal and professional life advocating for queer rights. She's running for House District 100 in the Montana State Legislature. She's running for office because she has seen firsthand the way the rights of marginalized communities are under attack in Montana and understands the importance of having diverse voices in the room where the laws are being written.
Analise Ortiz is a civil rights activist born and raised in Arizona. As a campaign strategist for the ACLU, she stood up for incarcerated women and stopped several Arizona bills that would have impeded the right to vote and secure abortion.
Mai Xiong is running for re-election to serve on the Macomb County Board of Commissioners. As a member of the Board of Commissioners, Mai's top priorities include supporting small businesses, advocating for the expansion of broadband infrastructure, and encouraging public health initiatives to protect the county's most vulnerable populations.
Jabari Brisport is a queer, Black, public school teacher in Crown Heights and a third-generation resident of Brooklyn running for New York State Senate, District 25. He's running to build a world where housing is a human right, education is guaranteed, where poverty is not a crime, and Black lives matter.
Looking to support progressive candidates in races that often go unchallenged, left to the same unchecked white male status quo?
There are some stellar candidates running for school boards across the country this year. People like
Jess Salgado-Ramos, who is running for Canutillo ISD School Board in Texas. If elected, he would be the youngest school board member ever in Canutillo. Jess is the son of migrant parents, and a true organizer at heart who will fight to ensure that every student has equitable access to a quality education.
Thank you for being a part of this movement to secure sustainable political power together.
Let's go,
