John — One week ago today, Kansas voters showed the nation that women’s rights are not up for debate.

After the right-leaning Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, Kansans turned out in record numbers and overwhelmingly voted against a constitutional amendment that would have allowed the state legislature to ban abortions across the state.

While Republicans in Congress continue to block bills that would codify Roe into federal law and protect the right to contraception, voters in Kansas proved that the GOP’s extreme anti-choice agenda is wildly unpopular in even the reddest of states.

If we show up this November like the voters in Kansas did last week, we know we can expand our Democratic majorities and restore reproductive freedom for all Americans. Now, we need to keep this momentum going strong.
