Build Back For Justice!
Download Our #BuildBackforJustice August Recess Toolkit

Dear John,

Yesterday, the Senate passed the Inflation Reduction Act which provides critical investments in healthcare and climate justice and brings in much-needed revenue to our government through new tax provisions targeted at large corporations and wealthy investors. We are especially pleased with the historic funding in our vital, but underfunded, Internal Revenue Service and hope that it leads to a fairer tax system that better supports our BIPOC communities.

Still, we know that there is more work to be done. If we’re serious about racial economic justice, we need to take a first step and invest in the most basic resources for children and families—especially in the BIPOC community: the Child Tax Credit expansion and affordable and accessible housing.

What can you do? This August recess, we’re asking you to join us for a #BuildBackforJustice Day of Action on Tuesday, August 23. Take action by:

  • Scheduling an in-district visit with your legislators for the week of August 22
  • Sharing your voice (and elevate others!) during our 1 PM EST Tweetstorm on August 23
  • Calling/emailing/tweeting at your legislators and tell them to Build Back for Justice
Join us to #BuildBackforJustice on August 23!

Use our #BuildBackforJustice Toolkit and help Prosperity Now fight to close the racial wealth divide and systemically provide families and children with the resources they need to build financial security and succeed.
