I know I often ask for your support. You deserve to know why, so I’d like to lay out a few of my priorities:

Keeping our communities safe: I believe that to live our lives to the fullest, we must first be safe and secure at home and in our communities. That’s why my number one priority is protecting the people of North Carolina, including on public safety issues.

Promoting public health: Access to healthcare can be a matter of life and death and is absolutely crucial in the effort to build a stronger North Carolina. That’s why I have consistently fought to expand Medicaid and to defend the Affordable Care Act from those trying to eliminate protections for people with preexisting conditions so that millions of North Carolinians can maintain their health coverage.

Defending reproductive rights: As long as I’m in office, I will keep doing everything I can to ensure women in North Carolina can exercise their reproductive freedoms. I promise to defend a woman’s right to choose. And I’m committed to fighting efforts that seek to strip women and girls of their choices, dignity, and power.

Preserving clean air and water: North Carolina is an awe-inspiring state of remarkable natural beauty, and I know that protecting it doesn’t just mean preserving our coastlines and fighting for clean air and water — it also means advancing a clean technology economy that creates good jobs in every corner of the state.

It is my honor to serve as your Attorney General. Each day, I work hard to ensure progress, justice, opportunity and equality for everyone . That’s the North Carolina you and I believe in.

And I can’t do it without you – together, we will keep North Carolina moving forward.
