Judge Allows Compassion Over Killing to Help Defend Animal Protection Law
When the North American Meat Institute (NAMI) attempted to block Proposition 12, a California law that bans the sale of animal meat products made in conditions of cruel confinement, the judge ruled against it, keeping the law in effect during the full legal case. Additionally, the judge ruled to allow COK to intervene in the lawsuit to defend this important law.
