Hi John,
As you may have seen, the U.S. Forest Service released their environmental study on sulfide-ore copper mining in the watershed of the Boundary Waters earlier this summer. This is the critical study we’ve been waiting for.
It definitively concludes that sulfide-ore copper mining would be a disaster for the Boundary Waters on many levels, and the Forest Service is now recommending a 20-year ban on sulfide-ore copper mining next to the Boundary Waters!
This is fantastic news for canoe country, but now, the Forest Service needs to know whether you support their findings, demonstrating the need to protect the Boundary Waters. But we only have until next Saturday, August 13, at 8 am, to gather as many names as possible.

P.S. We need you to support the environmental study by simply adding your name here. [[link removed]] Then, double your impact and forward THIS LINK [[link removed]] to a friend who loves the BWCA and encourage them to add their name as well!
