Hey, team – Laura Carlson here, Digital Director at the DGA. It's been over a month since the ultra-conservative majority on the Supreme Court handed down the devastating decision overturning Roe v. Wade.

Here’s what’s happened since that dreadful day:
– 14 states have moved to ban nearly all abortions or restrict access to them.
– Republican candidates for governor are running on banning abortion in the states, and Congressional Republicans have discussed a nationwide abortion ban!
– Around 60% of reproductive care clinics which offer abortions in the 11 states with near-total abortion bans have shut down.
When the right-wing overturned 50 years of precedent on abortion rights and threw our nation into chaos, they thought they could demoralize Democrats all across the country – from Democratic candidates to grassroots supporters like you. They wanted us to feel helpless, powerless, and defeated. They wanted us to give up.
But instead, Democrats like YOU stepped and seized this moment to fight back. Your input and your action have been impressive, so I wanted to make sure you received this personal invitation to participate in our August Focus Group:
