Last week, we learned the national rate of uninsured Americans reached an all-time low of eight percent - a major milestone in our efforts to ensure accessible, affordable health care to all Americans.

I am proud of our hard-fought efforts that lead to this achievement. In 2010, I joined with my Democratic colleagues to pass the Affordable Care Act, providing millions of uninsured Americans with coverage. During the height of COVID, we passed the American Rescue Plan, which lowered health care premiums and increased access even further. I will continue to fight for lower prescription drug and health care costs while reducing the barriers many Americans face to receiving care.
