Friend, this is a breakthrough.
It’s official: Yesterday, the Senate made history and passed the Inflation Reduction Act! This bill is the largest climate bill in U.S. history and could supercharge America's transition to a clean economy.
Now we need House Democrats to pass this bill and get it on Biden's desk ASAP. Call your House representative right now and tell them to pass the Inflation Reduction Act!

This bill includes $369 billion for climate investments, including clean energy tax credits, environmental justice initiatives, and unprecedented federal investments that will save consumers money and reduce pollution—provisions that Evergreen helped shape with your support. It's the turning point we need in the fight for a livable future. At the same time, this bill is also a compromise. Unfortunately, Joe Manchin was able to insert some troubling provisions that will do real harm—particularly to communities in the Gulf Coast and Alaska. But let me be clear: While this bill is a compromise, it must pass.
As you know all too well, the 50-50 Senate has been the biggest obstacle to passing climate legislation. I can't overstate the significance of this news—for the first time ever, Congress is on track to fully pass game-changing investments in clean energy that will set us on track to cut pollution by roughly 40% by 2030.
But even though the Inflation Reduction Act has cleared the Senate, it's not a done deal yet. As we saw last year, there are some Democrats willing to obstruct popular legislation for special interests in the House, too. That's why we need to shore up support for this bill immediately.
It starts with your representative hearing from you about why passing this bill is so important. Call them right now—we have a script ready for you

All of our work over the last two years has led to this moment. We are inches away—let's get it over the finish line.
Onward,
