Next week is going to be hard for veterans. The one-year anniversary of the day Kabul, Afghanistan fell to terrorists in Joe Biden’s botched withdrawal is less than a week away. And for my husband – Republican Congressman and U.S. Army veteran Brian Mast – this is a day that I know will be hard for him. You see, when the entire country watched American citizens left behind, saw troops needlessly killed and recognized that women would be subjugated under the Taliban, I remember seeing something in my husband’s eyes… …It was him questioning whether all of his sacrifice fighting the Taliban in Afghanistan was even worth it. For those that don’t know, Brian was nearly killed after an explosive device planted by the Taliban went off directly beneath him while he was serving in the Kandahar region of Afghanistan. The blast took both of his legs and part of his hand, but by the grace of God, his life was spared. PLEASE HELP ME SHOW BRIAN HIS SACRIFICE WAS WORTH IT! I remember the moment the soldiers knocked on my front door to tell me the news. I didn’t know if he was dead or alive, but since then, he has gone on to be a dedicated public servant and an incredible father to our four beautiful children: It’s been a blessing to watch Brian’s road to recovery – he’s the most determined and selfless man I know. When he sets out to do something, there’s nothing he can’t accomplish. But still, I know this tragic ending in Afghanistan – a place where he nearly gave his life for the Stars and Stripes – was a major setback for him and for every other veteran who sacrificed in this mission. That’s why my husband has been focused on accountability ever since. Over the course of this past year, Brian has been using his platform in Congress to do everything he can to hold Joe Biden accountable for his failures. There’s just one problem: this has severely cut into my husband’s time he can spend fundraising for his re-election in Congress. Running a campaign costs millions of dollars, and that’s especially the case this year since Brian is running for a new House seat after redistricting. Now, voters are already casting ballots and Election Day is in less than two weeks. That’s why I hope you’ll join me to show Brian that we believe in his mission to get accountability for Afghanistan! Please, will you help me with a fundraising drive to pool the $15,000 that’s still needed in order for Brian’s campaign to stay on track before Election Day? DONATE HERE TO SUPPORT BRIAN’S MISSION Thank you for everything you can give. I know it will mean a lot to my husband seeing us have his back ahead of this challenging anniversary! God bless you, Brianna Mast P.S. - Your gift of $50, $35, $10, or anything you can afford also helps ensure that Brian and his Republican colleagues take back the House in November – something that will give my husband much more leverage to hold Joe Biden accountable for Afghanistan.
