** Teton County Primary
Tuesday, August 16th
------------------------------------------------------------
State Senate District 17 Candidate
Sen. Mike Gierau
[email protected]

During my tenure as your Senator, I worked across the aisle in Cheyenne and with others throughout Wyoming to fight for the issues that matter to Teton County. Some legislation I am most proud of includes tax relief for seniors, funding for K-12 schools, advocating for funding for developmentally disabled children, capital construction for CWC’s Jackson campus, funding for small businesses regarding COVID relief, and funding services for at-risk kids.

House District 16 Candidate

** Rep. Mike Yin
------------------------------------------------------------
[email protected]
I want to ensure the foundation of a sustainable community. That means making sure that Wyoming can retain great people and families instead of the state population being in decline. That means ensuring that families can afford their homes, and that kids have access to a free quality education across the state.

** House District 23 Candidates
(Vote for One in Primary)
------------------------------------------------------------
Liz Storer
[email protected]
Liz believes it’s time to challenge the status quo in Cheyenne, as many of the problems that are vexing Teton County are rooted in state policy, and thus require state solutions. Reducing the state’s reliance on property tax increases in Teton County is key. Liz also thinks people should have the freedom to make their own healthcare decisions and will fight for women’s reproductive rights in Cheyenne.

Ryan Sedgeley
[email protected]
Ryan is a proud rural progressive Democrat. He believes government can and should work for the people, not just the rich. He thinks abortion is a right, democracy needs to be defended, Medicaid needs to be expanded, radical action taken on climate change, and marijuana should be fully legalized, regulated, and taxed.

** Teton County Commissioner Candidates
(Vote for Three in Primary)
------------------------------------------------------------
Luther Propst
[email protected]
Luther is committed to protecting our wildlife and water quality as well as a diverse and strong community where the people who work here can live here. He has 4 years of experience on the County Commission and more than 30 years helping communities in western North America protect their assets and community. Luther is passionate about Teton County and willing to make hard decisions when necessary to protect this valley and create real housing opportunities for our workforce.

Mark Newcomb
[email protected]
I’m running to promote our community’s health and welfare. I’ll use my experience to preserve and enhance our community’s character, protect its natural values and ensure there’s ample opportunity for everyone in the community to thrive. I value the natural world and the entrepreneurial and adventuresome spirit of our community that makes Teton County unique.

Wes Gardner (Write-In Candidate)
[email protected]
As a 25 year resident of Teton County, I’ve seen a lot of changes in our valley. I am well aware of the issues our community faces – from our affordable workforce housing crisis to the congestion on our roadways, from the failures to keep our water clean to the challenges of maintaining our critical mental health, social services, and early childcare infrastructure. Remember to write-in Wes Gardner for Teton County Commissioner.

** Teton County Sheriff Candidate
------------------------------------------------------------
Matt Carr

Check out the Jackson Hole News & Guide Election Guide ([link removed]) for info on Matt.

** Teton County Coroner Candidate
------------------------------------------------------------
Brent Blue
[email protected]

I am running for reelection to continue the pursuit of making the Teton County Coroner’s Office the best for a small community in the nation. We have made dramatic improvements in the last eight years of my tenure and look forward to continued progress. I am a 40 year resident of the valley.

** Teton County Attorney Candidate
------------------------------------------------------------
Erin Weisman
[email protected]
I am committed to continuing to serve our community as the Teton County and Prosecuting Attorney. I am dedicated to hard work, fairness, and justice, which is balanced with compassion while ensuring accountability and community safety.

** Teton County Assessor Candidate
(Vote for One in Primary)
------------------------------------------------------------
Melissa "Mel" Shinkle
[email protected]
Having an experienced leader in the County Assessor's office is essential to the well-being of the assessment process. I have proven myself to be honest, transparent, reasonable and well-educated in Wyoming assessment practices, and I look forward to continuing my work with other elected officials around the state to enhance the property tax system.

Zane Aukee
[email protected]
I’m running for Assessor to maximize the limited discretion of the office to help our taxpayers stay in Teton County, despite surging property values and rents. As an attorney and committed Democrat, I will pursue legislative opportunities that will help mitigate this crisis, while abiding by the State’s regulations.

** Teton County Clerk of District Court Candidates
(Vote for One in Primary)
------------------------------------------------------------
Anne Comeaux Sutton
[email protected]

As your current Clerk of District Court, I’ve provided trusted, proven leadership and increased access, transparency and efficiency. I’ve overseen multiple successful technology changes in the office and am the candidate best prepared to implement e-filing and transition to paperless records which will begin 3 months into the next term.

Brian Hultman
[email protected]
Why am I running? Privileged to serve as prosecutor for 25 years and as the President of the Wyoming State Bar. Honored to receive the 2019 President's Award. Successfully created Liberty Day for Wyoming's fifth grade students, resulting in the 2010 Community Service Award.
