After months of negotiations and a marathon weekend of votes, the Inflation Reduction Act finally passed the Senate. Now, we’re one step closer to confronting climate change, investing in green, American energy, and lowering costs for families.

When we pass this bill in the House, it will be our country’s biggest investment ever in renewable energy and green jobs. It’s the type of legislation that will have massive positive impact decades into our future.

But the fight’s not over yet. We have to get this bill through the House and onto President Biden’s desk. Not a single Senate Republican voted for this landmark bill, so passing it won’t be easy – but I’m going to do everything I can to get this passed and invest in America’s future.

I haven’t even mentioned one of the best parts: this bill will lower the costs of prescription drugs for millions of American families. When we pass this bill, Medicare will finally be able to negotiate prices on certain drugs.

Let’s pass this bill. Working families can’t wait, and our planet can’t wait either.
