The Inflation Reduction Act will invest in energy security and climate solutions on an unprecedented scale, moving us closer than ever to a clean energy economy. If passed, it will make electric vehicles, solar panels and energy efficient appliances more affordable and accessible than ever — while slashing pollution from our two largest sources, the transportation and energy sectors.
This bill will bring us much closer to President Biden’s goal of cutting climate pollution in half by 2030 – and return the U.S. to being a global leader in ensuring we have a livable future. It comes not a moment too soon, with rising inflation and extreme weather disrupting people’s lives.
