Dear John,
I’m Jordan, Lindsey’s Communications Director, and I have a confession to make.
When I first started working with Lindsey, many people thought it was sacrilege to take on a longtime incumbent like Jerry Nadler, head of the Manhattan machine, who has long been hailed as an influential official for the last three decades. Some even believed he would be the one to save us from Trump.
Today, I feel compelled to tell you why Lindsey is the representative for me, and the best choice for the district.
First and foremost, Lindsey has extensive experience addressing some of the most urgent issues of our time at the state level. As Deputy Secretary of Economic Development for the state, she fought for a $15 minimum wage and Paid Family Leave, got hundreds of millions of dollars in funding for NYCHA when Congress failed to act, and oversaw the state’s Hurricane Recovery in Puerto Rico after the island was devastated by climate change when Maria hit.
You can help us bring this experience to Washington. Support Lindsey here.
Second, one of her signature issues is combating our nation’s mental health epidemic. As someone who suffered from depression, it is important to me that we break the stigma once and for all, stop treating mental illness as a crime, and start treating mental health with the seriousness we treat physical health.
And, like me, Lindsey is a mom. I believe we need more moms with young children in office. Lindsey and I are sick and tired of waiting for equal pay, paid family leave, and universal childcare.
Most important, I know that Lindsey has the courage, the guts and the fortitude to stand for what’s right and get things done. And, after watching the impeachment hearings unfold this past week, that is something I believe separates Lindsey Boylan from Jerry Nadler.
Please take a stand for what’s right and help send her to Washington.

I live in Rep. Nadler’s district, the most unequal district in the nation in terms of wealth distribution. Under his watch NYCHA is beyond repair, our schools are some of the most segregated in the country, and, on the national front, he has not used his power as Chairman of the Judiciary Committee to fully hold Trump and his accomplices accountable. Particularly with such a narrow impeachment that gives Trump a pass on so many abuses.
It’s time to face the future. Jerry Nadler is not going to save us. I know it is becoming more clear to voters everyday that Lindsey is the best candidate for the job.
If you agree, show your support here. Every donation helps us build this campaign into one that can win.
Sincerely,
Jordan Jayson
Communications Director
