You may have heard that Senate Republicans recently blocked a bill that would provide health care for veterans who were exposed to toxic burn pits. After a week of grandstanding, they finally passed it.
Before the Senate vote, the legislation passed the House with bipartisan support, but our extremist representative, Andy Harris, voted against it.
You read that right. Harris voted against delivering health care and benefits to our brave veterans who risked their lives to defend our nation.
Who is Andy Harris looking out for? All he seems to do is pander to the most extreme far-right fringe of his party.
Again and again, Harris has shown us that he is out of touch and unfit for office. He has voted against women, the LGBTQ+ community, victims of sex trafficking, and now our veterans. The First District deserves better.
