Three months from today, voters in New Mexico’s 2nd congressional district will make a choice: keep a far-right extremist in power, or elect a new leader who will truly fight for the people.

I know we heard it in 2020, but it’s once again true in 2022: this is the most important election of our lifetime. So much is on the line, including our basic rights to reproductive choice and healthcare, fair elections and voting rights, and a healthy environment and future for the next generation.

Yvette Herrell has proven through her votes that she simply doesn’t care about the best interests of New Mexicans. She’s too busy pushing the MAGA agenda and trying to overturn the 2020 election results with her friends Donald Trump and Marjorie Taylor Greene. There is no place for extremism in our district, our government, or our country — this election is our chance to stop it in its tracks.

Right now, the very first poll in this toss-up race shows us one point ahead of Herrell — one of the most vulnerable incumbents up for re-election. When voters learn more about us, our lead increases to four points!

What we do over these next three months will not only determine the path our district goes down, but the path our country goes down. The road to keeping our Democratic House majority runs through NM-02, and with enough people coming together, I know we will win.

This has always been a grassroots campaign by the people, for the people. So I have to ask: can you help fuel our get-out-the-vote efforts over these final three months by chipping in $10 or more today?
