For example, since 2006 our business startup programs proudly counselled and trained more than 16,000 Black entrepreneurs and small business owners – 60 percent who are women. But we are extremely worried our fight for Black-owned business owners is under siege. Political forces across the country wage an insidious and coordinated campaign to discourage you and I from voting in the November Midterm elections - for the representatives that best fight for our right to fair jobs and wealth creation. 

That’s why the National Urban League is doing everything we can to defend our communities from this attack on our rights, but with our $30,000 fundraising goal deadline approaching in a few days, our need is URGENT – our important work is KEY to support underserved Black and Brown communities deserving fair jobs, a living wage, equitable wealth creation, and civil rights.
