** ABORTIONISTS FILE NEW CHALLENGE TO HEARTBEAT BILL
------------------------------------------------------------

Even though the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals upheld Georgia’s Heartbeat Bill ([link removed]) , the abortion industry is still out for blood, literally.

The new challenge was filed in Fulton County Superior Court with Judge Robert McBurney. Their intent is for the State court system to invent a right to abortion under the Georgia Constitution since the Federal courts have affirmed there is NO right to abortion under the U.S. Constitution.

The Court has scheduled an emergency hearing to block our Heartbeat Bill TODAY at 4pm. You can attend in person ([link removed]) (Courtroom 8-D) or watch the hearing with us live today via zoom:

While we expect the State Courts to ultimately uphold the Heartbeat Bill, we can’t take this attack lightly. Just in 2019, the Kansas Supreme Court created a right to abortion under their State Constitution ([link removed]) . That decision led to every pro-life law in the state being blocked until the state changes its Constitution.

It is imperative that pro-life Georgians stay engaged on this issue as the next front in the war on life begins today.

Please join us in praying ahead of the hearing. specifically for Judge McBurney to hear the arguments with discernment; for the pro-life attorneys to articulate our law with wisdom; and maybe even for the pro-abortion attorneys to get a flat tire on the way to the Courthouse. We’ll leave that between you and the Lord.

Georgians are already seeing the positive effects of the Heartbeat Bill. From babies being saved as abortion clinics shut down ([link removed]) to pregnant women being eligible for child support and tax exemptions ([link removed]) - the Heartbeat Bill is good for Georgia!

Thank you for continuing to pray with us, support us ([link removed]) , and stand with us on the frontline of this fight for life!

And be sure you mark your calendar for September 9. We are preparing to announce a MAJOR pro-life event that will set the stage for the next phase of building a culture of life!

Together for life,

P.S. Many folks have been reaching out in the last few weeks asking for information about what the Heartbeat Bill ACTUALLY does. Because the media is intent on misrepresenting the law and because we were part of the team which actually wrote it, we’re happy to tell you :)

What the Heartbeat Bill does:
* Babies are recognized as people under law (line 63)
* The population count will now include preborn babies (lines 67-68)
* Women can now obtain child support for babies in the womb (lines 180-188)
* Parents can now receive state tax exemptions for preborn babies (lines 294-297)
* Babies with beating hearts are protected from abortion in most circumstances (lines 109-113)
* Post-abortive women are protected from prosecution under law (lines 158-173)
* Miscarriage and ectopic pregnancy care are exempted from abortion law (lines 93-94)
