Lineage Logistics has acquired New Zealand's Cold Storage Nelson and has plans to purchase Spanish cold storage logistics provider Grupo Fuentes. The acquisitions are part of Lineage's strategy to grow its presence in Europe and the Asia-Pacific region.
Weyerhaeuser is collaborating with Operation Tiny Home on an initiative to meet the needs of military veterans dealing with housing instability and homelessness. The Logistics Manager's Index for July came in at 60.7, a decline of more than four points from June, while the Institute for Supply Management's Purchasing Managers' Index dipped to 52.8, compared with 53.0 the previous month. Experts note that despite the drops, both indexes are still indicating growth.
