Friend,
Trump’s 11,780-vote loss in Georgia in 2020 was monumental. So were the January 2021 runoffs there that put Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff in the U.S. Senate. Without those wins, Mitch McConnell would still be majority leader, the pro-democracy agenda would have been flattened on the five-yard-line, and it would be “game over” for free and fair elections in 2024.
Sen. Warnock won his seat in a special election, so he is running for his first full term this November. His Trump-manufactured opponent, former Georgia football star Herschel Walker, is ridiculously unqualified. But, Walker could conceivably win. A Sen. Walker would fall into the Cruz-Hawley wing of the Republican Caucus and would be a dependable vote for the anti-democratic MAGA agenda.

“Science said man came from apes. But if that is true, why are there still apes,”
asks Walker. “Think about it.”

In addition, this race has the potential to interact with the state's governor's race. Electing Stacey Abrams will reinforce a very powerful message nationwide: pro-democracy candidates can and will win anywhere. Elevating turnout in places like Savannah and Athens will be essential.

We have only three months until the midterm elections. We cannot relax for a minute. We are mobilizing our pro-democracy coalition across all 50 States. It will take all of us to ensure we have a democracy for ourselves and future generations of Americans.
Please reach out to one friend today, ask them to stand together with us, and get them to join The Union. And follow us on Twitter.
Together,
The Union
