John, last week, the people of Kansas delivered a resounding victory for reproductive rights.
In a statewide referendum, a coalition of Democrats, Independents, and even 20% of Republicans voted to reject a ballot measure that would remove the right to abortion from the State Constitution |
The people of Kansas spoke last week, and their message was clear: the government does not have the right to mandate pregnancy.
But here is the thing. What happened in Kansas is just the beginning of what’s to come. The GOP unleashed a lion when they struck down Roe. It roared in Kansas last week, and Kentucky is next. Until just over a week ago, abortion was legal in Kentucky. Then an Appeals Court sided with our extremist Attorney General and reinstated an effective ban.
Like Kansas, Kentucky has its own amendment on the ballot in November, and the people of Kentucky are fired up to defeat it.
So here’s what we’re going to do: When Kentuckians go to the ballot box this November, we’re going to vote to protect reproductive rights AND retire Rand Paul, who supports a nationwide ban on abortion.
Will you split a contribution between my campaign for U.S. Senate and Brand New Congress today to help us win this seat? |
