Hi JOHN,
March of 2020 was a time of stress and intensity for all of us. For our family though, it was not just a moment of fear and loss, but also a beautiful time when our family grew. On March 14th, 2020 our baby boy Miles was born and, by the time we brought him home to Staten Island, New York was heading into lockdown and COVID deaths were rising rapidly.
In our days back home, I watched Max become the greatest dad to Miles. I also watched as he worked tirelessly to advocate for the health and safety of his constituents. Max’s dedication to service is one of the reasons I love him, so when he answered the call to deploy with the National Guard at the end of March I knew it was what he needed to do. Watching him fight to secure New York’s first drive-through testing center for Staten Island and stand up a COVID field hospital in our district during his deployment made me incredibly proud, both as his wife and his constituent.
As I said, Max’s call to service is one of the many reasons I love him. When he told me he wanted to run for Congress again, I could see that he had a lot more fight and service left in him. I know that his work here isn’t done, and I’m eager to see him back in office fighting for the people of Staten Island and South Brooklyn again.
But before that can happen, Max has a primary election coming up in less than three weeks, and he needs your support now to fuel his campaign. Will you chip in what you can to help get Max back to Congress so he can continue to serve the people of NY-11?
