BREAKING: The Senate has voted to pass major climate investments. Now, the House of Representatives must act.

After months of negotiating and years of organizing, a cost-saving deal that makes overdue investments in clean energy, justice, and jobs has just passed the Senate. These climate provisions will build a more affordable, healthy, just, and equitable future.

Democrats hold a slim majority in the House — we need everyone to take action right now to bring this important legislation over the finish line.

GOAL: 10,000 ACTIONS
TELL THE HOUSE:
PASS THE INFLATION
REDUCTION ACT

Friend,

After the Senate’s historic vote, we are just one hurdle away from the most important investment in climate action, clean energy, and environmental justice in our nation’s history — an investment that will put us on a path to reduce carbon emissions by roughly 40 percent by 2030.

The House of Representatives will vote next, and there’s no margin for error — we cannot afford to lose any votes.

Supporters of the environment hold just a slim majority, meaning that just a few defections could sink the bill.

Even though there is bipartisan support amongst voters for this package, corporate polluters like the Koch Network are spending massive sums of money to pressure lawmakers to vote no. We need to demonstrate the environmental community’s overwhelming support for this historic investment in clean energy and environmental justice.

We’ve overcome more than a year of negotiations — and we’ve been advocating nonstop to get to this point. We can’t let up now. If your representative doesn’t hear from us, we could see this deal fall apart.

The planet cannot afford to lose a single vote. Urge your representative in the House to pass a budget reconciliation bill with significant investments in clean energy, energy security, and environmental justice.

Between increasingly devastating climate-fueled extreme weather events, high energy prices, and rising inflation, this transformational, cost-saving climate legislation is urgently needed now.

We’re talking about hundreds of billions of dollars to ramp up clean energy production in the United States AND a plan to lower the costs of prescription drugs. This bill will save families money, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and help tackle inflation — and it’s all paid for by the ultra-wealthy and corporations.

We finally have the chance to make bold climate investments that protect our health, cut dangerous pollution, advance environmental justice, help reduce energy costs, and create good-paying clean energy jobs.

President Biden has already promised to sign these climate investments into law. But first, the House must pass the bill to send it to his desk.

Don't wait — take action now. Submit your letter of support to the House before it’s too late. We need to reach 10,000 letters demanding historic climate investments that will make life better for people and protect the planet.

We're so close, Friend. But we aren't over the finish line yet. Thank you for helping us get there together.

Onward,
