Hi John,

In just a few days, Wisconsin will be holding its primary elections. We wanted to tell you about three pro-choice champions who are in competitive races and could use all the help they can get to stay on the ballot and win in November.

Our goal is to raise $7,000 by the WI primary election on August 9. Will you help us reach that goal by contributing $20 or more to our Wisconsin Primary Fund today? →

Here’s the deal: Wisconsin is a major swing state, and the work we do now will have a massive impact come November.

We’ve endorsed two candidates running in Wisconsin’s 3rd Congressional district: Rebecca Cooke and Deb Baldus McGrath. There were a number of reasons our Endorsements Board chose to endorse two women running for the same position in this race, and we believe it’s important to note that this is who the Republican opponent will be:

According to the DCCC, “Van Orden says he’s '100% pro-life' and compared abortion to ‘genocide.’”

In addition to attending the Jan. 6 insurrection, Van Orden was recently fined for trying to bring a gun through security at an airport in Iowa, and made news in 2021 when he bullied LGBTQ teens.

Help us reach our goal by rushing a $20 contribution to our Wisconsin Primary Fund. → [link removed]

Rebecca Cooke and Deb Baldus McGrath are both progressive, pro-choice candidates who have promised they would work to codify abortion rights in Washington. We are rallying behind both women because the alternative is frightening. If/when one of those two women becomes the Democratic nominee, we want to be prepared to throw our full support behind her in the general election, and stop extremist Derrick Van Orden from gaining power.

Additionally, Dr. Gillian Battino is running for State Treasurer, an office that Republicans attempted to completely eliminate in 2018. As a radiologist, she has a history of making evidence-based decisions, and she will use that experience to advocate on behalf of reproductive care, climate change, education, food insecurity, and more.

Wisconsin’s primary is coming up THIS WEEK, and our candidates are prepared to be the advocates we need in office. After Roe was overturned, we told you we would fight to elect pro-choice champions to offices around the country – and we are keeping that promise. Can you pitch in $20 or more to our Wisconsin Primary Fund RIGHT NOW to ensure our candidates are on the ballot with a strong war chest in November? [link removed]
