AMAZING! The Senate passed the nation’s biggest climate bill in history!

I’m finally feeling hopeful about our future. With this bill, we have a shot to avoid the worst climate change predictions – predictions we’re already feeling with scorching heat waves, deadly storms and floods, and dry periods that are hurting farmers. 

If we can get the Inflation Reduction Act passed by the House, hard working American families will see millions of new jobs in the clean energy industry, lower health-care costs, and lower energy prices.

We’ve gotten this far because Conservation Voters of PA members and people across the country have been making their voices heard these last 18+ months. Finally, we are SO CLOSE. Whether you’ve taken action once, ten times, or not yet, now is the time. We all need to come together and urge our U.S. representatives to vote yes to help hard working American families immediately and secure a healthier future for our children. 

Please send a message today to your representative urging them to vote YES and do everything in their power to get this bill passed through the House.  

This historic cost-saving legislation will make overdue investments in clean energy, improve energy security, and build a more affordable, healthy, just, and equitable future. 

This legislation will not only ramp up clean energy production in the U.S. – which could be a game changer for Pennsylvania workers – but it will also lower the costs of prescription drugs, help to tackle inflation, and reduce our deficit. 

This bill also includes critical investments to advance environmental justice and address decades of disproportionate impacts of pollution and climate change on communities of color and low-income communities. Pennsylvania’s environmental justice communities deserve clean air and access to green space, and this bill can help bring long overdue justice and change. 

Between increasingly devastating climate-fueled extreme weather events, Big Oil’s price gouging, and inflation driven by Putin’s war and COVID, this agreement on transformational cost-saving clean energy legislation could not have come sooner. People need relief – and our voices are finally getting heard. 

If this bill is going to pass, every Pennsylvania Democrat in the U.S. House needs to vote yes and urge their colleagues to stay strong. Whether you’ve been emailing and calling Congress every week or haven’t gotten a chance to speak up yet, this is the moment we need everyone taking action. 

Please, urge our representatives to vote YES on the Inflation Reduction Act to tackle the climate crisis and lower costs for our hard working families.
