Friend,

It's no secret that Eric's campaign to keep IL-17 blue will be a close, but we now have a clear idea at just how tight this race is expected to be.

According to 538, our race is *literally* the most competitive House race in the country. Seriously, folks, we're on the top of the list.

[link removed] [[link removed]]We can’t leave anything up to chance. Can you chip in $5 to help our campaign pull ahead in this 50-50 race? [[link removed]]

A few things happened this past week that we can't ignore:

First of all, GOP Leader Kevin McCarthy came out and said his chances of taking the gavel hinge on defeating us in November (his word, not ours). We also found out that his super PAC is doubling down on their pledge to spend nearly $3 million against us.

Here’s the truth:

We don't need millions of dollars in special interests cash to win this race, but we do need to run our race effectively. That means hitting our internal fundraising goals. We’ve done it every time and I’m not willing to let this be an exception that costs us on election day.

If you’re ready to win this race and prevent the far-right takeover in Congress, consider chipping in a donation of any amount today. It’s only you and the rest of this grassroots team who can make sure we aren't outspent. [[link removed]]
