Jack, the January 6 hearings have been jarring, painting a grim picture of how far extremists will go to maintain control over our democracy. Those same people then went home to lay the groundwork to overturn future elections.

In Pennsylvania, that far-right presence is at a tipping point. The Republican candidate for governor, Doug Mastriano, participated in the insurrection and used campaign funds to charter six buses to the Capitol. If elected, he has vowed to toss out all of the state's voter registrations and appoint a secretary of state willing to overturn election results.

Pennsylvania's significance this November cannot be understated. Our democracy and the sanctity of the future presidency could very much lie in the Keystone state.
