Happy Sunday,
Welcome back to Team Elise's weekly newsletter! Here are a few of the stories we are tracking, along with some news around NY-21:
Elise Mourns the Tragic Passing of Congresswoman Jackie Walorski and her Staff
On Wednesday, Republican Congresswoman Jackie Walorski and two members of her staff were tragically killed in a car accident. Elise released the following statement:
“The entire House Republican Conference is heartbroken by the tragic passing of our colleague and friend, Jackie Walorski, and her two staffers Zachery Potts and Emma Thomson.
Jackie was deeply beloved by all her colleagues. A woman of deep faith, Jackie led with a true servant’s heart, and she and her staff always represented her constituents and district with dedication, principles, hard work, and endless compassion. To say she will be missed does not fully embody the void that will be felt by her absence.
We pray for the family, friends, colleagues, constituents, and the communities of Jackie, Zachery, and Emma at this incredibly difficult time."
Please join Elise and our team in praying for the families of Jackie, Zachery, and Emma.
Elise Joins Chestertown GOP Meet the Candidates Night
On Tuesday, Elise attended the annual Chestertown GOP Meet the Candidates Night in Chestertown along with State Senator Dan Stec and State Assemblyman Matt Simpson. The Congresswoman spoke to an enthusiastic crowd about how there will be a Red Wave across Upstate New York and the North Country this November.
Elise Stands Up to House Democrats’ Gun Grab
On Monday, the House voted to pass an unconstitutional bill to restrict the rights of law abiding gun owners. The bill would ban semi-automatic rifles including one of the most popular firearms in America, the AR-15. Elise voted against Pelosi’s gun grab and released the following statement:
“I will always stand up for the Constitution and our Second Amendment Rights. Today, I strongly opposed House Democrats’ latest attempt to shred our Constitution with a gun ban. I represent tens of thousands of law-abiding gun owners in my district, and I will continue to oppose and fight back against any attempt at unconstitutional gun control at the state or federal level.”
100 Days of Real Results
This past week, Team Elise celebrated the 100 day mark until Election Day by announcing that Elise will release one result that she has delivered to NY-21 each day. Elise said,
“Since I was first elected, I have worked hard to deliver on my promise to fight for Upstate New York and North Country hardworking families at the highest levels and to deliver real results for our communities. I’m excited to once again announce that our team will be releasing 100 days of results during the 100 day countdown until Election Day. With record support from grassroots supporters across New York and the nation, our team has never been in a stronger position to win. I look forward to another historic re-election and to continuing to deliver real results for local families, small businesses, farmers, veterans and seniors.”

Elise Endorsed Candidates WIN BIG
On Wednesday, primaries were held in states across the country. Candidates endorsed by Elise saw massive success. House candidates John James (MI-10), Juan Ciscomani (AZ-06), and Amanda Adkins (KS-03) won their primaries and will move on to the general election where they will join in the rising tide of the Red Wave that will fire Nancy Pelosi this November. E-PAC endorsed U.S. Senate candidate Tiffany Smiley also moved on to the general election in Washington where she will flip that seat red this November. Elise released the following statements:
“Congratulations to John James on his landslide Republican primary victory in MI-10. I was proud to join President Trump in endorsing John early on in his campaign,” said Chairwoman Elise Stefanik. “John is a fighter who has spent his life serving our country, and he is exactly the type of fighter we need in Congress. I look forward to helping John win this November as Republicans earn back the House so that we can fire Nancy Pelosi once and for all and save America.”
“Congratulations to Juan Ciscomani on his big Republican primary victory in AZ-06," said Chairwoman Elise Stefanik. “Juan is a first-generation American who will fight hard in Congress to stop House Democrats’ reckless policies and create a better America. I look forward to helping Juan win in November so that he can help Republicans secure our border and preserve the American Dream.”
“Congratulations to E-PAC endorsed Amanda Adkins on her big primary victory in KS-03. I was proud to be all-in for Amanda early on in her race and to see first-hand in the district how fired up Kansans are to flip this seat,” said Chairwoman Elise Stefanik. “Amanda is a healthcare leader and conservative fighter who we need in Congress. I look forward to helping Amanda flip KS-03 from blue to red this November and working with her in Congress to help save America.”
“Congratulations to Tiffany Smiley on her victory last night to move forward to the general election. I was proud to endorse Tiffany through E-PAC as I know that Tiffany is a mom on a mission and exactly the kind of candidate who can flip Washington red. I look forward to continuing to support Tiffany in her fight to defeat Far-Left Pat Murray and fire Chuck Schumer once and for all.”
Elise Continues to Support Milk Choice in Schools
On Wednesday, Elise and fellow Republican members of the House Committee on Education and Labor introduced an amendment to support milk choice for students during the committee’s discussion of House Democrat’s child nutrition authorization. This follows Elise’s long-time advocacy for dairy farmers and her recent successful effort to stop NYC Mayor Eric Adams from replacing chocolate milk with vegan juice.
On the amendment, Elise said:
“Over two-thirds of milk served in schools is flavored, and flavored milk is one of the best ways for kids to get essential dairy nutrients for growth and development. Parents overwhelmingly recognize the value of flavored milk and know that chocolate milk belongs in schools. A recent poll revealed that 85% of parents support including low-fat flavored milk in schools.”
Elise Calls for Plattsburgh International Airport to be Labeled a Port of Entry
Thursday of last week, Elise urged U.S. Customs and Border Protection to designate Plattsburgh International Airport as a port of entry, rather than a user-free airport, in a move that would save the airport approximately $600,000 a year. Elise said:
I’m working to ensure Plattsburgh International Airport is equipped with the resources it needs to continue meeting the transportation needs of families in Upstate New York and the North Country and providing access for tourists visiting our region. Plattsburgh should be eligible for these important services, and I will continue pushing for results on their behalf.
