Friends – Last month Congress passed the CHIPS and Science Act, and now it’s headed to President Biden’s desk to be signed into law.

This historic bill invests in American infrastructure and supports American-made semiconductors, creates a stronger, more diverse STEM workforce, and strengthens U.S. competitiveness and self-reliance in the tech industry. I was honored to be a part of its passage.

But just a few hours after the CHIPS Act passed, Republicans did something truly despicable: they tried to block healthcare for American veterans exposed to toxic burn pits.

Thankfully, after days of stalling, the Senate passed the PACT Act, giving our veterans the care they need. But don’t forget, Republicans were ready to tank this legislation, all because Democrats proposed legislation to lower prescription drug costs and make corporations pay their fair share.

I don’t know about you, but I don’t think veterans should ever be used as a bargaining chip.

I’m running for Congress because I want to do everything I can to help our community. And I’ll tell you this: selling our veterans short and obstructing common-sense policies doesn’t help anyone.

We can’t allow the GOP to take power in this election and obstruct popular legislation. So, will you chip in $15 to help me protect my blue seat?
