Gaza Is Under Attack. Al Aqsa Is Under Attack. Enough is Enough. Dear respected Imams and Muslim leaders, Asalamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatu. In the past 48 hours, the genocidal state of Israel has unleashed a barrage of airstrikes on Gaza killing more than 25 people. To add insult to injury, Zionist settlers are preparing to envelop the entirety of Masjid Al Aqsa to initiate the permanent takeover of the First Qiblah. No, Gaza is not “used” to this level of atrocity committed against innocent civilians. No, Gaza is not a playing field for war-profiteers and genocidal maniacs. Gaza is home to some of the poorest and most traumatized people on Earth. Gaza is a land beaten down by more than 15 years of a brutal military siege. Allah says in Surat Al Qasas: وَنُرِيدُ أَن نَّمُنَّ عَلَى الَّذِينَ اسْتُضْعِفُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَنَجْعَلَهُمْ أَئِمَّةً وَنَجْعَلَهُمُ الْوَارِثِينَ (28:5) “But it was Our Will to favor those who were oppressed in the land, making them models ˹of faith˺ as well as successors.” Gaza is steadfast but for how much longer? How many more children have to be brutally murdered in order for people who claim that there is no God worthy of worship except Allah to take decisive action? As the situation in Gaza continues to evolve and as AMP uses every mechanism at our disposal to advocate for the Palestinian people, we ask you - the leaders of our ummah - to take a firm stand and lead your congregations in prayer for the people of Gaza and Palestine. - What: Qiyamul Layl or Dua Al Qunoot after/during Isha and Fajr prayers
